Discover the "GR 223" Trail, the ancient Menorcan path which encircles the island of Menorca. A famous walking route, suitable for beginners and seasoned walkers. We provide transport from Mahon to the start of the route (Canutells) and we return in the afternoon from the end of path (Punta Prima) back to Mahon. 14 km Trail.

After pick up by bus, the route starts near Canutells (carretera de Binidalì), where the bus will drop you off to the start of the route surrounded by a small forest of elms, a type of tree that usually grows near rivers .In the coastal cape of “Caparrot de Forma”, there are two large archaeological sites from the Talayotic era: a coastal settlement and a necropolis formed by numerous artificial caves dug into the cliffs.

We cross the Biniparrax ravine that leads into a small sandy beach with a diversity of important plants that enhance the landscape. We arrive at the Binisafuller village that runs along a coastal road in the south east area that links the towns of Binibéquer, Biniancolla and Son Ganxo. It is worth stopping in the village of Binibéquer Vell, a picturesque and renowned tourist resort with its narrow streets and white houses, where you can stop to take a couple of photos.Between Biniancolla and Binibiquér is the reef of Cargol, a danger for unsuspecting navigators, and guilty, in the past, of numerous shipwrecks and scares. The route continues along the sea from where we will see l’Illa de l’Aire, an islet located in front of Punta Prima, easily identifiable by its lighthouse. In this islet there is an endemic gecko, better known in Menorca, as black sargantana, which, when moved away from its habitat, changes its dark coloration due to the typical greenish coloration of the common lizards. The route ends at the tourist resort of Punta Prima where the bus will pick you up at 5.00pm.

Discover the "GR 223" Trail, the ancient Menorcan path which encircles the island of Menorca. A famous walking route, suitable for beginners and seasoned walkers. We provide transport from Mahon to the start of the route (Punta Prima), one way.

After the pick-up by coach in Mahón, we starts the route in the tourist area of Punta Prima. The path runs through one of the flatter coastal areas of the island to reach the cove of Alcaufar, with the possibility of resting on its small beach. A defense tower and a small islet guard the cove from the entrance. Then the route goes into the first section of the route to the inner part, away from the coastline. Its relief is generally flat although interrupted by some ravines, Caló de Rafalet or Cala Sant Esteve. The Rafalet cove is surprising for its small forest of holm oaks and wild olive trees, typical of the island of Menorca, which reaches the seafront.

In the vicinity of Cala Sant Esteve, on the south side of the mouth of the harbour, is the Fort Marlborough, an English fortress built at the beginning of the 18th century that, together with the Castle of San Felipe and the tower of Stuart or d ‘en Penjat, it served to protect the entrance of the port of the city. From here the road continues through an urban road that offers magnificent views of the port of Mahón and the fortress of La Mola. We will leave behind the Castle of San Felipe and the town of Es Castell, founded by the British in 1771, until arriving at the city of Mahón that combines the Mediterranean charm with the legacy of the years of British rule, in the 18th century, when its Port of almost 5 kilometers in length became a point of great strategic value for the control of the Mediterranean. We will finish the stage at the end of the port. No transport service is provided.
