Escape the city for the day on this 7-hour day trip to Timanfaya. See the natural sights of the park before traveling around the area to must see sights as La Geria, El Golfo, Green Lake, Yaiza, lava seas, volcanoes, its vineyards, and villages in the south of Lanzarote. Travel by bus with your guide throughout the day as you explore and witness the breath taking landscapes around you.

Meet your guide and air-conditioned bus between 8am and 9am at a central meeting point in Playa Blanca, Costa Teguise, or Puerto del Carmen.

Then, set out discover the southern region of Lanzarote, where the island’s last major volcanic eruptions occurred over the course of six years during the 18th century.

Travel into the Timanfaya National Park and see for yourself how the eruptions have impacted the landscape as your guide explains how and why they happened.

Plus, learn how the immensely beautiful terrain has been used to mimic the landscapes of other planets such as Mars, as well as some of Earth’s remotest locations, in several well-known movies.

Stop in the Islet of Hilario area to watch geothermal demonstrations that illustrate the intense underground heat of this dormant volcanic region, and soak up the scenery as your bus follows the famous Volcano Route through the park.

Gaze out at the astounding landscapes and other highlights, including the vast Sea of Lava near the whitewashed village of Yaiza, and travel to see the nearby volcanic cliffs at Los Hervideros.

Continue for a look at the Green Lake of El Golfo and El Camacho, and head for El Echadero de Camellos, where if you wish, you can take a ride on a camel (own expense).

Plus, enjoy a drive around the unique wine growing area of La Geria, famous for its Malvasia grape vineyards. See how the individual vines are planted in small craters ringed by stone walls, and learn how this distinctive method was developed by local wine growers to help protect the grapes and ensure their vines flourished despite the island’s harsh conditions.

After about seven hours, your tours ends back the original starting point.

Timanfaya, Jameos Del Agua, Haría, Green Lake, North and South of Lanzarote, surprising contrasts in our bus route. Get a complete view of our Island!.

A complete day full of contrasts, North and South of the Island. The perfect option for a complete approach to the landscapes, towns and geography of Lanzarote, as well as visits to some of the most emblematic places of the Island:

The fascinating Timanfaya National Park, lunar landscapes of extreme beauty, sculpted by the last volcanic eruptions in the 18th Century. Once there we will witness the geothermal demonstrations, since the heat that fires our land is still strongly felt in the area of the Islet of Hilario. We will then make the famous Route of the Volcanoes.

In the South, we will cross the areas bordering Timanfaya and its Natural Park, La Geria, the lava sea along Las Salinas del Janubio and Los Hervideros and stop at El Golfo and its spectacular Green Lake.

On our way to the north we will pass by Teguise, old capital of the Island, and Peñas del Chache, the highest point of Lanzarote with 671 meters. Once there, we will be surprised by the charming village of Haria, its Valley of the Thousand Palms and all the landscapes bordering the fantastic Volcano of the Crown, that "constructed" one of the well-known jameos world-wide, where César Manrique and his people developed Los Jameos Del Agua, spectacular artistic performance that we will also visit.

Our last visit is the first house that César inhabited when moved to Haría. Built in the area of Tahiche on five volcanic bubbles, Manrique, together with his collaborators, decided to create the César Manrique Foundation, that houses important works of art by different artists, maintaining part of the old architecture of the house. It was awarded as one of the best private museums in Europe.
