This two days self-drive experience is about enjoying wine and exploring a great sample of the sacred art heritage of this region with a visit to the Monastery Santa María de Valbuena or to Aranda's two main churches.

On the first day you will visit a famous bodega, less than 2 hours drive from Madrid. A fantastic avant garde architecture building designed by Sir Norman Foster, the winery houses a great internationally awarded wine. It is located in Gumiel de Izan only a few minutes drive from Aranda de Duero, at the centre of the geographic sub-area of the DO where most of the vineyards that produce the majority of the grapes used into Ribera del Duero wines can be found.

After the visit you can relax at your hotel in the city centre of Aranda de Duero and enjoy the evening life at your leisure exploring its vibrant tapas bars. The hotel is a land mark building in Aranda with completely modern facilities.

On the second day enjoy a great morning walk through the village or just go straight into the two main sites of historic and artistic importance: the gothic temple of Santa Maria la Real Church (15th century) and Iglesia de San Juan (14th century), both impressive buildings in the city centre.

A great traditional long Spanish meal will be served in a exclusive restaurant to celebrate the final part of your tour. You will have the local delicacy (roasted baby lamb) and visit the restaurant's underground medieval wine cellar dating from the 14th century.
