Take a 45-minute ride on the only tourist train in Besalú. Discover the ancient streets of this medieval village from the comfort of an areo train car. See the historic St. Pere Church and enjoy views of the Roman bridge as you pass by. Enjoy a pleasant and entertaining way to learn about the Medieval history of this fortified city. Listen to informative commentary from your guide staff as you take in the Romanesque architecture. Choose from one of eight train times when you book.
Arrive at the train ticket office near the Besalú bridge ten minutes before selected departure to collect your train tickets. Board your train for a fun ride through the old Romanesque streets of the Middle Ages. Your guide will relate the history of the area, and there is also an audio commentary accompaniment. See notable sights such as the church of St. Pere and the the Romanesque bridge, including part of the new hull. Drinks are available for purchase to enjoy during the journey.
Tour returns to the original departure point approximately 45-minutes after departure. Alternatively, you can choose to take your time and walk back. Next to the train office, you will find a restaurant "Els Jardínes de Besalú" with magnificent views of the medieval bridge that leads to the pretty village where you may decide to have lunch (own expense).
