Get an understanding of Catalonia's deep history, culture, and creative spark during a 75-minute tour of the Monastery of Sant Benet. The complex just outside of Barcelona is home to a culinary research center, three restaurants, an artisanal shop, and several multimedia exhibits — in addition to the main attraction of historic religious architecture. Receive a guided tour of the grounds (in Spanish, with English subtitles) before enjoying free time in the center on your own. Admission to the monastery is included.

Take a step back into history as you make your way to Sant Benet de Bages at 12:30pm. The medieval monastery has gotten a second wind as a cultural and culinary center. The complex just outside of Barcelona is home to a culinary research center, three restaurants, an artisanal shop, and several multimedia exhibits — in addition to the main attraction of historic religious architecture.

For about an hour, receive a guided tour (in Spanish, with English subtitles) of the religious center's main areas. See the church, the cloister, the cells of the Montserrat gallery, and more. Enjoy access to a multimedia exhibit documenting what life is like for the religious residents of this thousand-year-old facility.

After the 75-minute guided tour, you are free to spend the rest of your time at the complex as you wish. Visit the monastery's restaurants, explore the culinary research center, or shop for artisanal food products like wine, honey, cheese, and olive oil.
