An action-packed coach trip taking you to some of the most interesting and colorful parts of the Costa Blanca. Suitable for all the family, the Coast and Caves excursion includes visits to a medieval village, a beautiful coastal town, stunning countryside and some fascinating caves. This is a full day excursion that will leave you with lovely memories of a fun and interesting day out.

You’ll be collected by coach at your chosen start point. Once everyone is onboard, accompanied by a representative, head northward and begin your ride along the coast, during which you'll be able to enjoy breathtaking scenery, including both sea and mountains.

The first stop of the day is the medieval town of Benissa. Benissa is a traditional Spanish town that is steeped in history and remains little unchanged by time. Its maze of cobbled streets is lined with ancient buildings and whitewashed houses and the main town square has a church so big, that the locals call it a cathedral. Whilst in Benissa, the representative will take you to an 18th-century mansion which has been left unchanged as it was lived in, by its previous occupants and you really get the feeling of how they used to live back in the day.

Next, you will head inland, passing through valleys of vineyards and orchards filled with almond and orange trees before arriving at caves that are believed to have been formed some 150 million years ago and where they have found traces of life dating back to over 50 thousand years ago. Entrance fee to the caves is not included but the representative will be able to offer you discounted entrance tickets for just 3€. Once you have had time to visit the caves, you will head eastwards to the coastal town of Moraira where you will have free time to wander, relax and enjoy the surroundings before making the return journey.

The representative will confirm the meeting point with you and time for returning back to Altea and Calpe. Arrive back at the hotel around 5:30pm.

Discover on this guided day trip two of the most visited villages in Spain. The first stop of the day will be the mountaintop village of Guadalest, where you will have ample time to explore this truly stunning place and visit one of the numerous museums, shops, and cafes. The village of Algar is in complete contrast to the coastal resorts and really is a holiday must. Enjoy this remarkable tour on an air-conditioned coach transport.

You will be collected by coach at your chosen start point. Once everyone is onboard, accompanied by the tour escort, the coach will head inland and begin the ride up the mountains, during which you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

This tour aims to arrive in the village of Guadalest around 11am. You will have plenty of free time to enjoy the village's famous museums, gift shops and stalls selling locally produced goods such as honey, sweets, cured meats, olive oils etc. The village dates back over a 1000 years and is steeped in history, from the prison and dungeon built in the 12th century to the old washing house used by the local woman and has just over 200 inhabitants. The coach representative will be able to offer you a discount museum entrance pack on the day, if required.

On leaving Guadalest you will then start the descent down to the village of Callosa before reaching the village of Algar. There is no shortage of restaurants here, all selling excellent typical Spanish meals and snacks, and each has its own swimming pool which you can use free of charge.

Although the Algar Waterfalls have been very popular with the Spaniards and local residents for many years, it was the inclusion in one of the episodes of ITVs hit series “Benidorm” that made it famous with the British and those coming on holiday to Benidorm wanting to visit this little village. There is something for everyone at this beautiful paradise, the Waterfalls are such a peaceful place, where you can just sit and relax and enjoy a picnic while dipping your toes in the icy cold water in one of the many pools. For the more adventurous there are areas designated for diving into the icy cold waters if you dare!

So if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the coast for the day and relax in this secluded paradise or you just want to see where Madge fell into the icy waters from her scooter, join this memorable day out.

The representative will confirm the meeting point and time for returning to Calpe and Altea. The arrival at the hotels should be around 4:30pm.

Get collected at your chosen start point. Experience Spain’s third largest city which is located just a 2-hour coach ride from Calpe and Altea. Valencia’s historic center is one of the largest in Spain and its monuments, attractions, shops, bars and restaurants make it one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. This is a full-day tour adventure which is right in the heart of the City of Valencia.

Get collected by coach at your chosen start point. Once everyone is onboard, take the motorway to Valencia, with a journey time of approximately two hours, accompanied by a representative. Make a short “comfort break” en-route. Once in Valencia, have a stop at the Torres de Serrano which is right in the heart of the City, walking distance from the Cathedral, Central Market, and shops that Valencia is famous for. For those wishing to explore the city at their own leisure, you’ll have ample free time to do so. The City was founded as a Roman colony in 138BC. It was later occupied by Moroccan and Arab Moors before being conquered by the Christian King James I of Aragon. Valencia has been Spain’s capital city twice and its long history means it’s steeped in art and culture, which is reflected in its popular traditions, such as the Fallas fiestas which were declared Fiestas of National Tourist Interest in 1965.

Whatever way you want to spend your day, you’ll not be disappointed. Arrive back in Calpe and Altea around 7:30pm

Optional extras include the Oceanografic sea-life center, Mestalla Forever, which is a guided tour of Valencia’s premier league football club’s stadium, and the open-top bus tour with audio-guide.
