This tour begins in the historic centre of Benidorm that stands between the two main beaches of Levante and Poniente. This was the original site of the small fishing village overlooked by the church of San Jaime.

During this tour you will admire views from the Cerro Canfali rock that is a viewing point known as the Balcón del Mediterráneo (balcony over the Mediterranean), which offers outstanding views over the sea. The Mediterranean sea has always been our Mare Nostrum since Romans started to navigate it. Nowadays it´s also part of our live and it creates special environments in all the Spanish Levante coastline.

Start your half-day trip discovering the incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea on your way to Guadalest, traveling by private vehicle from Benidorm. 

On arrival, admire the historical town's Arabic architectural origins with a visit to San José Castle, an 11th-century Moorish settlement that is accessed through a natural rock tunnel. Situated above the town atop a 1,640-foot-high (500-meter) cliff, it eventually became part of the Aragon crown. Its fortress surrounds the entire town, backed by namesake mountains and overlooking a reservoir that supplies water to the region of Marina Baixa.

Once outside the castle, your guide take you to visit the old prison located within the Town Hall. From here, continue on to the main square where you will find typical souvenir and handicraft shops. Take your time to wander around and try some local snacks (own expense). 

On your way back to your Benidorm hotel, you'll make a stop in the fishing village of Altea, located at a hilltop location along the Costa Blanca. The town's highest altitude is dominated by the church bell tower, and from the  square you will have an excellent panoramic view of the region.
